Heating bill assistance is available from Fresh Start SC, Dec., Jan., and February. Funds are limited. Available funds will be distrubuted to qualified individuals in the order that applications are received.
Qualifications, Dec. 2012 – March 2013:
%175 of the poverty guideline AND elderly, disabled or with young children in the home,
OR head of household and unemployed within 6 months, AND
Power bill must be 10% of income.
Please provide by mail, fax, or drop-off the following documents:
Recent power bill. No earlier than December 2013.
SSI income statement / application, approval, or denial for unemployment
