Heating bill assistance is available from Fresh Start SC, Dec., Jan., and February.
Funds are limited.
Available funds will be distrubuted to qualified individuals in the order that applications are received.

Qualifications, Dec. 2011 – March 2012:

  • Fixed Social Security income and Elderly or young children in the home,

  • OR head of household and unemployed within 6 months, AND

  • power bill must be 10% of income.

Please provide by mail, fax, or drop-off the following documents:

  1. recent power bill.   No earlier than December 2011.

  2. SSI income statement / application, approval, or denial for unemployment

  3. Not required, but if you have if it, please also provide an electricity bill from the summer and from the fall.
